Claim your place in the Mitie restoration project

Thank you for attending Mitie’s Future of Facilities Compliance event. We hope you found the day insightful, engaging and practical for your organisation.

As part of the event, a contribution has been made on your behalf towards the restoration of peatlands in the Peak District. Peatlands are one of the world’s most valuable natural ecosystems. Despite covering only a small proportion of the Earth’s surface, peatlands store vast amounts of carbon, help provide cleaner drinking water, support biodiversity and play a vital role in tackling climate change.

When peatlands become damaged or drained, they can release significant amounts of stored carbon back into the atmosphere. Restoration work helps return these landscapes to a healthy, water-rich condition, allowing them to continue acting as natural carbon stores and thriving habitats for wildlife.

By taking part, you are helping to restore and protect these precious environments for future generations.

Your Personal Impact

Once registered, you will receive:

• A personalised certificate recognising your contribution
• A unique link to your individual project tile
• The opportunity to view your place within the wider Mitie peatland restoration project and track the collective impact being made by all participants
• Your contrubution will be complete and emailed to you on Thursday the 9th of July

Each attendee will have their own named tile within the project, creating a lasting record of their contribution to restoring the Peak District’s peatlands.

Together, these individual contributions support meaningful environmental restoration, helping to improve water quality, protect biodiversity, reduce wildfire risk and secure long-term carbon storage in one of the UK’s most important natural landscapes.
