Objective

Increase team bonding and celebrate the team’s efforts at Freshfields with Trainees, Associates, and Partners through a themed offsite retreat, and heading back to school! 

The Solution

The event kicked off with an exhilarating session at Rye House Go Karting, a track graced by the likes of Jenson Button and Lewis Hamilton. The group engaged in 90 minutes of adrenaline-charged racing, vying for the top spot. Following the racing, the group gathered at the café for a delightful buffet lunch, where the racing results were announced and awards were presented. After lunch, a private coach transported the group to their overnight destination, Tewinbury – a charming countryside hotel and events venue in Hertfordshire.

Upon arrival, the group checked into the exclusive Kingsbridge Estate. Accommodation ranged from rooms in the magnificent Kingsbridge House to picturesque lakeside huts, with a mix of shared and single rooms available. Guests used their free time to relax, utilise the gym or hot tub, and freshen up before the evening’s exclusive dinner. The dinner was punctuated with interactive team-building games, and the Red Blaze team prepared the group for their after-party inside Kingsbridge House, where celebrations continued into the early hours.

The following morning, the group, grateful for the late checkout, assembled on the lawn area for the ‘back to school’ challenge. Divided into four teams, they embarked on a variety of tasks including a relay race, tug of war, Lego building, structure creation, and dodgeball. The event reached a thrilling climax with a tiebreaker between the Red and Green teams, with the Green team ultimately claiming victory. The team then retreated to The Farmyard for a buffet lunch and awards ceremony, before taking the final transfer back to the train station.
