1000 Delegate CSR Activity
Large Scale Corporate Social Resposibility Activity in Barcelona
Client: Telecom Fibre Industry Leader
Venue: PortAventura World
Location: Barcelona, Spain
Challenge and Solution
The challenge for our client was to recreate an engaging CSR experience that engaged attendees while delivering measurable social and environmental impact. It also needed to be a csr activity that supported the involvement of a large number of attendees, whilst aligning to the scale and size of the venue that would be hosting the event.
The solution? A hands-on collaborative build event where teams constructed donation items and learned about beneficiary organisations. The event also required a cultural and locational element being overseas and in a vibrant and culturally impactful location. To execute, Red Blaze and our CSR activity supplier split the group into teams of 10–12 participants, where they were pre-assigned via CrowdComms. Following this, a three-hour building session was supported by technical specialists, facilitators and charity representatives, alongside the Red Blaze team who were on hand to support the large group with any challenges or changes that may occur.
CSR Impact
Overall, the impact on the community was vast, with the group helping to produce a wide variety of fun-based equipment that could be used to help enhance the lives of the local community. The total amount built from the CSR? 76 bicycles, 6 inclusive bicycles, 168 skateboards, 42 ride-on toys/kitchens, 63 insect hotels, 336 nest boxes, 30 inclusive toys and 21 pinhole cameras were created for donation. An incredible effort from an engaging group of individuals.
Beneficiaries Involed and Impacted
The organisations involved with the event were vast, with Red Blaze providing support in pulling all of these separate organisations together to help produce an effective and collaborative occasion. Intress, Actua, Resilis, Nexe Fundacio and XCN were all involved with the organisation of the activity, alongside a wider network of organisations supporting children, young people, people with disabilities and environmental conservation.
The ESG alignment of the event required a programme that promoted social inclusion, child development, circular economy principles, biodiversity protection and employee engagement while supporting UN Sustainable Development Goals. In short, Red Blaze and our long-term client pulled together a special moment that not only impacted the local communities across Barcelona and wider Spain, but also the attendees involved in the building of the inventory, not only providing an effective SKO, but a memorable moment of giving back for our fantastic attendees.
