Objective
Our client wanted an evening event to bring the team together, but as they work all around the UK it was important that it was virtual whilst keeping people engaged and included.
The Solution
We presented several meticulously curated options that we believed met the client’s requirements. The selected option was a Cheese & Wine masterclass, showcasing the finest British artisan cheeses and perfectly paired international wines. This was hosted by a humorous presenter and included a quiz-style challenge throughout.
Before the event, we arranged the delivery of cheese & wine packs to each participant’s preferred address, accommodating dietary requirements (including vegan and halal cheese, as well as alcohol-free substitutes within this particular group). This ensured everyone was fully prepared to immerse themselves in the experience on the night. During the event, which was conducted virtually, guests learned how to identify the milk type, age and production method of a range of top-tier artisan cheeses, as well as the grape variety, region and quality of international wines.
The event kicked off with a light-hearted guide on tasting, after which guests worked in small groups to deduce the answers set on the tasting charts, promoting interaction. The masterclass also covered crucial cheese and wine tips, such as purchasing, storage, and service, along with food and wine pairing. Guests had the opportunity to ask questions and participate in quick-fire quizzes based on the introduction. It was a truly fantastic way to entertain virtually, suitable either as a team-building event or a reward for a high-performing Team.
These masterclass evenings can also be customised with ales or whisky instead of wine, and are available without alcohol.
