The Solution

This year, for their annual sales incentive trip, Red Blaze proposed the vibrant destination of New Orleans to the Giacom group. We knew something unique was required to spur on the sales professionals to surpass their performance targets and secure their spot on the trip, especially given their previous excursions to Dubai, Monaco, Las Vegas and Cape Town.

New Orleans, nestled in the heart of Louisiana, presents an exceptional incentive destination. It offers a wealth of experiences, from absorbing the rich culture to participating in once-in-a-lifetime activities.

Upon arrival in New Orleans, following a daytime flight, the group were greeted warmly at the hotel with the renowned Hurricane cocktail and a delectable meal, setting off the incentive trip in style. Over the next four days, a whirlwind of activities ensued.

The first day offered a curated tour of the French Quarter, where guests sampled the finest cuisine of The Big Easy. With stops for gumbo, pralines, muffuletta, po-boys and jambalaya, the culinary delights were endless. The evening meal at August, a contemporary Creole restaurant, did not disappoint, serving unique dishes with a focus on Louisiana ingredients in a private dining room.

Day two whisked guests off on an exhilarating airboat tour of the swamps, propelled by a 454 Chevy Engine at speeds of up to 35 miles per hour. Alligators were a sight to behold! After returning to the dock, guests soared over NOLA in a seaplane, taking in views of Ceasers Superdome, the French Quarter, the business district and, of course, the swamplands. An evening Jazz cruise on the Steamboat Natchez rounded off the day perfectly.

The thrill-seeking continued into day three with a visit to ZipNola, offering a zip-lining experience high above the iconic cypress swamps. Lunch was enjoyed at the Frenier Landing Restaurant and Oyster Bar, providing a tranquil setting for relaxation. Dinner took place at Antoine’s, a 5th generation family-owned restaurant in the French Quarter, where a customised flaming baked Alaska concluded the meal.

No visit to New Orleans would be complete without a bar crawl along the legendary Bourbon Street, where a festival atmosphere pervades the 13-block stretch from Canal Street to Esplanade Avenue. So much fun!

On the final day, guests explored the city further on electric bikes, visiting various districts such as Marigny, Esplanade Avenue, City Park, Bayou St John, Faubourg Treme, Louis Armstrong Park and Congo Square. This truly capped off an unforgettable trip to one of the most exciting destinations in Southeastern USA.
