Beach Clean CSR Activity & Wellbeing Experience

Beach Clean Corporate Social Responsibility Experience in Olso, Norway

Client: Telecom Fibre Industry Leader

Venue: SALT, Norway

Location: Oslo, Norway

Challenge and Solution

As part of a wider commitment to sustainability, employee wellbeing, and social responsibility, the client wanted to create an engaging CSR experience that would inspire attendees to reflect on their impact on the environment, their communities, and their personal wellbeing. The objective was to move beyond a traditional corporate event and deliver a meaningful initiative that combined environmental action, cultural connection, and individual reflection.

The Solution? We designed and delivered a unique CSR-focused experience at SALT Oslo, one of Norway’s most distinctive cultural venues located on the Oslofjord.

SALT provided the perfect backdrop for the event, combining:

  • Nordic-inspired sustainable architecture
  • A strong focus on culture and community
  • Stunning waterfront views overlooking the Oslo Fjord
  • A commitment to environmental and social sustainability

The venue’s ethos aligned closely with the client’s CSR objectives, creating an authentic setting for the programme.

A CSR That Matters

Overall, the impact on the community was vast, with the group helping to produce a wide variety of fun-based equipment that could be used to help enhance the lives of the local community. The total amount built from the CSR? 76 bicycles, 6 inclusive bicycles, 168 skateboards, 42 ride-on toys/kitchens, 63 insect hotels, 336 nest boxes, 30 inclusive toys and 21 pinhole cameras were created for donation. An incredible effort from an engaging group of individuals.

The day began with a welcome session featuring representatives from Arctic Arts, who shared their sustainability journey and encouraged participants to think about their own ability to create positive change.

A dedicated Pledge Wall invited attendees to record personal commitments and “One More Thing” actions they would take to support sustainability, wellbeing, or community initiatives.

Four-Cornered CSR Programme

Participants rotated through a series of immersive experiences designed to promote environmental responsibility and personal wellbeing.

Environmental Impact: Ocean Clean-Up

Guests travelled by RIB boat to nearby islands, where they participated in shoreline clean-up activities, helping remove waste from local coastal environments while gaining a firsthand understanding of marine conservation challenges.

Physical Wellbeing

Embracing Nordic wellness traditions, participants experienced a combination of sauna therapy and cold-water immersion, encouraging resilience, recovery, and personal rejuvenation.

Mental Wellbeing

Guided meditation, sound healing sessions, and personal reflection activities provided an opportunity for attendees to disconnect from daily pressures and reconnect with themselves through mindfulness practices inspired by Arctic Arts’ creative work.

Purpose & Reflection

Throughout the programme, attendees contributed to the Pledge Wall, recording commitments and sharing ideas for positive environmental and social impact within their professional and personal lives.

Creating a Lasting Impact

The event concluded with a collective reflection session where participants revisited pledges made throughout the day and discussed practical ways to turn intentions into action.

By combining environmental stewardship, wellbeing initiatives, cultural storytelling, and personal accountability, the programme created a deeper connection between CSR goals and individual responsibility.
