The Solution

The retreat commenced on a business-focused note, balanced with a relaxed morning gathering. Guests were welcomed at the stunning estate with a selection of freshly brewed coffee and artisan pastries. The atmosphere was casual, allowing the team to reconnect, reflect on recent successes, and set the tone for the day’s activities.

With spirits buoyed, the group transitioned into a leisurely lunch, showcasing a variety of seasonal dishes thoughtfully chosen to cater to every palate. Presented in a sharing style, this was more than a meal – it was a moment to connect, share experiences, and look forward to the future.

Post-lunch, it was time to get active. We curated a broad selection of on-site activities, tailored to suit all preferences and energy levels. Whether it was donning wellington boots to explore the beautiful estate, participating in team yoga, competing in a company Padel tournament or simply unwinding in the spa, there was something for everyone. These personalised experiences fostered unity and provided opportunities for the team to connect in fresh and meaningful ways.

As the day’s activities concluded, guests congregated for pre-dinner drinks, savouring champagne and canapés in one of the estate’s exquisite lounges. The evening was initiated with an engaging talk from Tom and James, the dynamic pair behind The Tempest Two (@thetempesttwo). Their thrilling adventure stories and motivational messages captivated the audience, sharing insights on perseverance, teamwork, and pushing boundaries. Their inspiring words set the perfect tone for the evening’s festivities.

As darkness fell, guests were treated to a group dinner experience like no other. We collaborated closely with Beaverbrook to present an extraordinary Japanese tasting menu feast, pairing sublime cuisine with a handpicked selection of Japanese whiskies, guided by one of the group members. The menu was crafted to take guests on a culinary adventure, celebrating the artistry of Japanese flavours while accentuating the craftsmanship behind Fielden’s own whisky selections. The fusion of food, drink, and vibrant conversation culminated in a memorable conclusion to a truly exceptional day. Post-dinner, the bar was the hub of activity until the early hours! 

By the close of the retreat, it was evident that the team departed not only with a sense of accomplishment, but also with rejuvenated energy, rekindled friendships, and motivation for the forthcoming year.
