10 of our favourite Incentive trip destinations….. and why

by Cat Preston

At Red Blaze, we believe in creating bespoke solutions that add value to our client’s businesses.

One of the best ways to drive value is to recognise and reward employees for the hard work they do for you, and we find that incentive trips are a great way to demonstrate your appreciation. They can be one-in-a-lifetime trips, or simply a way to reward an employee with something other than cash.

Our clients have enjoyed incentive trip destinations all over the world, and we’ve picked out 10 of the best spots that you might like to experience with your Team in 2024.

Number 10: Las Vegas

America’s playground, Las Vegas is the embodiment of a destination designed for fun. WIth gourmet dining, a buzzing nightlife, outstanding performances, and of course world-class casinos, there is truly something for everyone. Las Vegas offers huge potential for any incentive, and will be instantly recognised by participants as a high-value reward. We find that this desert oasis is perfect for high energy participant groups.

Number 9: Oman

Authentic Arabia without the skyscrapers, Oman is truly the jewel of the Middle East. Providing a unique mix of traditional Arab culture and modernity, your Team will have a great selection of exceptionally high-quality resort style hotels to choose from. Explorers can venture out to the bustling markets of Muscat, or relax on the beautiful beaches of Salalah, or simply take in the majestic mountain ranges and sandy deserts. Oman is perfect for incentive groups who are able to invite a loved one to have the chance to experience remarkable Arabian culture.

Number 8: Dubai & Abu Dhabi

The United Arab Emirates remains a perennial option for any incentive planner, it’s not hard to see why!. Amazing connectivity from around the globe, including UK Regional departures, guaranteed year-round sun, stunning hotels, amazing beaches….what’s not to like? In Dubai you can indulge in a shopping spree at the many grand malls, partake in a desert safari, or ascend the world’s tallest structure: the Burj Khalifa. Abu Dhabi, meanwhile, is the UAE capital, and hosts the architectural marvel that is the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque. Motorheads will love Ferrari World, and the more artistically inclined will be spoiled in the Louvre.

Number 7: Berlin

Despite becoming the capital of a reunified Germany in 1990, this vibrant, fun city remains a bit of a sleeper hit with travellers. Steeped with history, and famed for its idiosyncratic attitudes to having fun, Berlin can provide architectural wonders, cultural enrichment, and a thrilling nightlife that will certainly capture the imagination of groups. Check out the nhow Berlin, one of our favourite hotels in Berlin.

Number 6: Monaco

The glitz and the allure of Monaco and the Monte Carlo Casino keeps the destination right up there in terms of aspirational destinations. With the opportunity of helicopter transfers from Nice Airport directly into the Principality, and hotels and restaurants frequented almost daily by movie stars, FI drivers and European royalty, Monaco exudes glamour. Our favourite hotel, the discretely luxurious Hotel De Paris, located close to Casino Square.

The colourful houses of Reykjavík, Iceland

Number 5: Iceland

The land of ice and fire promises adventure like no other, with unparalleled views of the Northern Lights, captivating waterfalls and glaciers across the Golden Circle, and the opportunity to relax in the rejuvenating geothermal spas of the Blue Lagoon. The city of Reykjavik is world’s most northerly capital, and boasts colourful houses and a thriving art scene. It’s a cultural smorgasbord that will leave your Team feeling inspired and invigorated.

Number 4: Prague

With the presence of Four Seasons, Mandarin Oriental and Luxury Collection Hotels, Prague is an enthralling city delivering luxury experiences of the very highest quality. It’s a very walkable city, and you’ll definitely want to go out on the streets to immerse yourself in the beautiful architecture that comprises it. Charles Bridge, the Prague Castle, and the cobbled streets of Old Town are just a few of the delights you’ll find in the Czech Republic capital – to say nothing of numerous gourmet quality restaurants for groups to enjoy. Its central European location with great flight connections makes it ideal for a short and affordable incentive trip.

Sea to Sky Gondola, Vancouver, Canada

Number 3: Vancouver

Vancouver has been voted the best place to live in the world for what feels like innumerable times. The fascinating districts of GasTown and Yaletown are brimming with fantastic restaurants and an exceptional craft beer scene, all set against the stunning backdrop of the sea and snow-capped mountains. The proximity of Grouse Mountain and the ski resort of Whistler, accessible via the breathtaking ‘Sea to Sky’ highway, further enhances the appeal of this area, making it an ideal incentive destination.

Number 2: Lisbon

One of Europe’s friendliest and most compact capitals, Lison boasts a rich vibrant heritage. Teams can wander through the colourful streets of Alfama, or enjoy a traditional Fado (Portuguese blues music) performance. Still relatively unvisited, with a contrasting nightlife of the Bairro Alto and the Docas areas of the city makes Lisbon a perfect destination for a short incentive trip. It provides great value with high quality hotels and restaurants across the city, offering the perfect mix of culture, history, gastronomy and entertainment.

Number 1: Cape Town

Whether you’re looking to reward your employees, celebrate a special occasion, or simply explore a new destination with your team, Cape Town ticks the box!Despite an overnight flight, there is a very small-time difference – 1 or 2 hours, depending on the time of year. This makes Cape Town a very accessible city for an incentive trip from the UK and Europe. The destination has so much to offer for all types of groups including Harley Davidson rides along the famous Chapman’s Peak Drive, Michelin quality meals in the Winelands, Shark Cage Diving, all against the stunning backdrop of Table Mountain.
