I have been working in agencies since the mid 1980’s, so life before that was a long time ago. In addition to Red Blaze, I have been involved in educational governance for nearly thirty years. I am a member of the Board of Trustees of the Heart of Mercia multi-academy trust and Chair of its Search and Governance committee.

Favourite Destination to date

This is like thinking about music, and as the mood takes me. I have simple pleasures….. so, the Balmoral in Edinburgh will always be a firm favourite. Cape Town and the Winelands, as well as Vancouver and the wilderness of British Columbia which has always enthralled me. I have visited the city of Prague so many times, visiting feels like slipping into a well-worn glove, both comfortable and familiar. Tokyo was both mad and magical, Buenos Aires strangely captivating, it has a vibe that is unique, you can feel the passion of tango everywhere you go. Jaipur is a city that simply encapsulates India in one place – beautiful, historic and utterly chaotic – in a nice way 😊.

Cycle across North America (in the summer of course) or John O’Groats to Lands End ( as I have cycled it South to North but want to see if it’s easier down hill) 🙂

Love/Hates

LOVES – CrossFit ,- I love the team spirit and community and still achieving personal bests But most of all spending time with my Grandkids - all 6 of them - if I’d known they were going to be this much fun I would have had them first 😅 – There’s always something to do 🙂

HATES – Indecisiveness and prevarication (I think – leave that one with me for a while) 🙂

Kapama Game Reserve in South Africa - I’ve been lucky enough to experience several safari locations but never have I seen so much , so close in such a short space of time - I’m definitely going back !! Sydney Bondi Beach and Australia in general - it’s a long way but worth the travel with an outlook and lifestyle like no other

A totally different career from where I am now. I worked in London for 10 years in the Retail industry. First as a Buyers Assistant at Debenhams Head Office, then after a stint of travelling to Canada and Australia, I worked at the National Gallery as a Merchandise & Procurement Buyer. The usual story… got married, had kids and then up sticks and moved from Kent to Gloucestershire where I began an alternative career within the Event Industry (which I love)! Now, with over 15 years of experience in this amazing industry I have met amazing people, travelled to fantastic destinations and all in all, had a fabulous time!

To take my family to some of the fantastic places which I have visited through work – and do it in the 5star luxury that I’ve got used to!

Love/Hates

LOVES – my family & friends, my four-legged friends and trying out new flavoured gins!

HATES – Cooking (good job I have a husband that loves it!). Arrogance.

I have been to many beautiful places and seen iconic views – but for me, you can’t beat the coastline of Cornwall on a crisp sunny morning with my family and dogs

My career has been diverse, spanning industries such as retail, mortgages, healthcare, timber, and more. Prior to joining Red Blaze, I spent nearly seven years in the professional sports travel events industry, where I gained an extensive knowledge and experience in both travel and sporting events. I am now further building on this in to the Corporate Events sector at Red Blaze!

Bucket List Must Do

The list is honestly never ending; New Zealand, South America, more of Europe, Canada, the whole of Asia… but I would love to travel more in America to take in the variety of differing cultures around the country. As well as (should I even mention this?!) going to Walt Disney World, which has been on my wish-list as long as I can remember!!

Love/Hates

LOVES – Travel, Aerial Hoop, Yoga

HATES – Rain!!! Secrets. Poor customer service. Negativity.

Favourite Destination to date

In the UK it has to be the Isle of Wight, it just has a magic about it. Elsewhere, you cannot beat Sydney, Australia. Having travelled there several times before moving there in my twenties, and then working there again over The Ashes in 2017/18, it holds a special space in my heart. You really cannot beat the vibrant city with the breath-taking Blue Mountains to the West and iconic beaches to the East.

Former Support Worker during the days of Covid, transitioning into an Acquisition Runner in the TV industry, working alongside some big names including the BBC & Silverback Films. Sensing a needed change to another creative industry, I found events and since then, haven’t looked back.

Bucket List Must Do

Mt. Fuji in Spring is likely at the top, although it seems the list grows bigger every day. I’m a sucker for a drive, so a trip through Europe with my partner in a quick convertible would be up there too.

Love/Hates

LOVES – Films. In front of and behind the camera. Music. From Blues to East Coast Hip Hop. Sport. Mostly football. Manchester United fan I’m afraid to mention. Cooking & Food. Asian being my favoured choice.

HATES Fussy food eaters. Other hates include Oysters, Mussels, Cauliflower, Grapefruit, Cockles…

Favourite Destination to date

My personal favourite? Jamaica. Warm and friendly people with awesome food. Honourable mentions to Dublin, Madeira, Prague & Krakow. UK wise, I’m a sucker for Brighton.

My career began planning corporate events in the hotel industry after completing my degree in Events Management. Over the past 6 years I have gained experience in a variety of different sectors within the events and project industry, ranging from construction projects in the Middle East to major sporting events like Rugby World Cup and England Cricket tours. In 2022, I was a Project Manager at the Birmingham Commonwealth Games which was a career highlight for me and a great experience to be part of.

Love/Hates

LOVES – anything savoury like crisps or biscuits! I am a big fan of sports, especially netball.

HATES – slow drivers!

Bucket List Must Do

My bucket list revolves slightly around watching live sport, so I’d love to visit Australia and watch the Ashes or the Netball Super League. I’d also like to go and see the F1 in Monaco or Singapore.

Favourite Destination to date

My favourite destination is Sorrento, Italy. I’ve visited a few times, and it never gets boring! The food is amazing, and the local people are so friendly.

Lived in South Africa and being exposed to the wonderful wildlife, vibrant cultures and beauty of Africa, my travels then lead me to England where I have spent over 10 years in hospitality. I really enjoyed my previous role as an events manager and I’m now part of the Red Blaze family where I get to do what I love!

After finishing my Uniform Public Services course, I decided that I wanted to venture into a completely different field of work than what I had planned. I've always had an interest in events and planning and so when the opportunity to join Redblaze came around I jumped for it! I'm now working as a project support executive and am enjoying learning new things about this industry every day.

Travel and experience more of the world and all the different cultures! I would also love to swim with dolphins.
