Incentive Travel: 4 Destinations in 3 Weeks

by Cat Preston

What a whirlwind our recent activity has been!! We have been travel mad recently, taking different clients across four destinations over three weeks. Read what we’ve been up to with our clients, and if you think your team would benefit from an incentive trip, reach out today and let’s see what memories we can make!

Chewton Glen, UK

First up was a glorious venture capital corporate retreat in the quintessential English country house, set amid 130 acres of parkland in New Forest. Delegates from around the world met at this luxurious resort, home to an award-winning spa, two restaurants (one of which being The Kitchen by James Martin), a plethora of on-site activities such as golf, tennis and croquet, and even secret tree houses for those seeking something closer to nature!

The agenda was absolutely jam packed with meetings, but delicious pastry selections to accompany the pre-meeting caffeine fixes and sumptuous buffet lunches each day ensured that everybody felt rewarded for their hard work.

In the evenings we arranged group activities to give the delegates a chance to relax and socialise – given that many will only ever have interacted via email. We’d have champagne on the terrace, followed by an English wine tasting and 3-course meal at The Kitchen. Other days there would be ferret racing, segways and clay shooting out in the paddock, followed by a hearty BBQ at the Summer House before ‘gambling’ the night away at the Red Blaze Casino.

Spending a few days in a new location can truly get the creative juices flowing for a corporate group, giving your team the space to get to know each other, take inspiration from their surroundings, and feel they’re being recognised for their hard work.

Trou Aux Biches, Mauritius

Over on the luscious African island of Mauritius, we arranged a four day paradise getaway for our Recruitment clients as part of their Full Year Incentive 2023. Hosted at the Trou Aux Biches Beachcomber Resort in the north-west coast, the team was treated to a jaw-dropping turquoise lagoon, framed perfectly with dramatic sunsets and white sandy beaches – and that’s before we even mention the amenities, which include a 35-hectare tropical garden, golf course and a spa!

It wasn’t all sunsets and lounging though, with an action-packed itinerary that made memories to last a lifetime. In amongst the relaxation the team managed to pack in buggying, zip-lining, speedboat riding and snorkelling with turtles – and even found time to experience the phenomenal cuisine and lively nightclubs.

Though only a small island, it offers endless incentive possibilities within spectacular surroundings and is considered a safe travel destination. Sugar white sands, fringed by swaying tropical palms and lapped at by crystal clear sea, exotic cultures and cuisines, year-round warm weather, friendly locals and all just +4 hours GMT to combat the jetlag effects on a short-stay trip.

Athens, Greece

We love finding new experiences for our long-time clients, and for one technology services client, we arranged an Awards centric trip to the birthplace of democracy for a week of cultural enrichment and CSR in the sun!

Bringing their award-winners in from all over the world, the team enjoyed the hospitality of the Grande Bretagne, with its prime location opposite Constitution Square and stunning city views across to the Acropolis. The prestigious Awards Night was hosted in the Grande Bretagne Ballroom, bringing a real sense of occasion and class to proceedings.

During their activity day, there were a plethora of options that allowed them to sample the best of Greek cuisine and culture. The team then volunteered at Sikiairdion Institute to transform the garden into a serene, accessible and safe environment for therapy. Giving back through these CSR activities helps to bring colleagues together for a purpose outside of work, and give them a sense of pride.

Cape Town, South Africa

We wrapped up May with a wonderful Incentive trip to South Africa with a Wholesale Solutions client.

The trip started in style with a VIP Meet & Greet experience before a private check-in at the hotel and a welcome lunch. The excitement continued with a visit to Table Mountain, Cableway on Harley Davidson’s, before heading along the Atlantic Coastline to Camps Bay. There, Jeep Transfers took them to Cape Point and Boulders Beach, and bicycles transported them to an afternoon in the Franschhoek Valley where they meandered vineyards – of course, sampling as they went! They zip-lined through Cape Canopy and took jet boats along the rugged Indian Coastline back to Kalk Bay Harbour.

That’s just a snapshot of the activities the team got up to, not even detailing the numerous gastronomic delights and the traditional drumming experience.

Sounds good?
