Sales incentive trip for a group of 15 persons to enjoy a long weekend overseas with plentiful activities and experiences.

The Solution

Red Blaze chose to set the scene in Marrakech – colourful, with animated characters at the lively Jemaa El Fna Square; hawkers of all kinds in the local souks; beautiful floral gardens; 11th and 14th-century architecture; old palaces hand-built with colourful mosaic tiles and hand-carved cedar wood ceilings; and camels and horses performing around Bedouin tent encampments. Moroccan cuisine is a healthy Mediterranean cuisine, which uses fresh ingredients and is not too spicy. Dining opportunities are unique, either in 14th-century palaces or under Moroccan Bedouin tents. From Europe, Marrakech is a short-haul destination with an exotic appeal. Marrakech offers an intriguing blend of Arab, Berber, and African culture with an interesting chic French twist thrown in. Diverse terrain, ranging from the High Atlas Mountains to palm oases to deserts to the shores of the Atlantic Ocean.

On day one, the group met at London Gatwick South Terminal to meet their Red Blaze representative. After a four-hour flight, the lucky attendees arrived in Marrakech and were transferred by private minibus to their home for the next three nights. Kenzi Rose Garden Hotel, born from the magic of its mythical city, “Marrakech”, and its location in the heart of one of the most popular districts, the “Hivernage”, welcomes you into its majestic park. One of the first plant nurseries of Marrakech, it comes with the promise of an experience that you will be eager to renew. In order to offer its guests the best possible experience, the hotel has been renovated from the reception to the spectacular suite. Every single detail of the tiniest corner was specifically thought of and designed to make it a unique and warm space, resulting in a true reflection of the Ochre city in which the hotel resides. The group gathered on their arrival to enjoy a delicious lunch at La Terrazza Restaurant and after check-in had the afternoon at leisure to enjoy the hotel’s facilities. The group reconvened in the evening for a horse-drawn carriage transfer into the Medina before a short stroll along Jemaa El-Fnaa Square to the evening dinner location.

The second day started with a delicious breakfast at the hotel before a special private half-day tour around Marrakech, including the botanical Majorelle Gardens, 14th-century Ben Youssef Medrassa, 19th-century Menebhi Palace and the famous Jemaa El Fna Square. Lunch was organised in the heart of the Medina of Marrakech. The group had a few hours to freshen up before they were transferred out to the Agafay Desert ready for a sunset camel ride! The dinner was then served in the desert with traditional Moroccan cuisine whilst enjoying the stunning sunset. Day three started early in the morning as the group took a sunrise hot air balloon flight to discover the pretty mountains from above before enjoying a traditional breakfast at the landing site. The morning then continued with tradition as they took a cooking class and lunch at La Maison Arabe, a venue with a long culinary history dating back to 1946. Once their bellies were full, they were taken on a guided tour of the colourful souks of Marrakech. The group then returned for some leisure time at the hotel. This final evening was dinner at Le Comptoir; a bar, a restaurant, and a boutique, Le Comptoir does it all. The sprawling building has a clubby feel to it and a belly-dance show every night at 10:30. The Comptoir’s menu offers quality traditional Moroccan cuisine as well as inspired and original “world cuisine” dishes.

Departure day was a relaxed start with breakfast at the hotel before taking their private transfer to the airport to return home! We are already looking forward to the next one…
